The beginning of

This christmas a certain present which I had been longing for a while appeared underneath our christmas tree, it was the fault in our stars by John Green. Even though I'm still fairly new to John Green books and I feel like I should let my appreciation for this book grow before typing this post.. I just can't help myself. I could rant about this book for days, on and on, but I won't. I won't do it any justice, so if you haven't read it I recommend not wasting any more time and go to the library/book store and go get it.

What I do wanted to share with you is what I loved most about this book, Augustus Waters. and although he wasn't the protagonist in the story, to me he was. I got inspired by him. Especially due his positive outlook in life. He teaches us how to be compassionate and how to truly feel but most importantly how to love without holding back or without expectation.

I'm happy, even though I teared up multiple times while reading it. I'm happy I have read this book right before 2014 kicks of. 2014 will be about making choices, to say and do things you love and having no expectations. Augustus Waters reminded me of that, thanks John Green for this incredibly well-written novel.

"I'm on a roller coaster that only goes up, my friend."

I wish you all the best for 2014, may it be a year filled with lots of happy days!

  1. I read that book some time ago, totally amazing. Even though it was sad it actually made me happy, because of the way Augustus behaved and because of his positiveness. I've also read Looking For Alaska by John Green, it's also amazing.
