Sincerely Lara goes Madrid!

After going to Paris, I realized something again. How much I like seeing more of the world. Traveling to place you've never been to before is so inspiring, to meet new people and see new places. I feel happy when I'm gaining new experiences and insights, and challenging my boundaries. Plus, I'm hoping, one day to unexpectedly fall in love with a city. So, one day, I can pack my bags at home and leave!

I booked a short trip to Madrid in October, just the get away from school and work etc. for a little while. And besides, I would do anything for a little bit of sun in October. You can forget about that in The Netherlands. So I'm really excited about that! My boyfriend and I decided to book with AirBnb again, since I traveled with this organization multiple times and I was really pleased about it. Plus, they have much more unique accommodations than an ordinary hotel.

I can't wait to discover Madrid! Have you ever been to Madrid, or do you know any nice places in Madrid? Let me know! I'm open for suggestions!

Sincerely,
Lara

  3. Hey Lara! I've lived in Madrid for about 10 months, i can just say, the city is amazing! If you are there, dont miss to see the Matadero Madrid, with it's Cantina and the beautiful cinema. The city center is not soo big that you can walk through without the need to take the metro all the time ;-) I've lived in the neighborhood Cortes, where you can find very beautiful shops and cafes. Malasaña is very hipster with also lots of cafes, vintage stores, etc. I just recommend you to walk through the whole city center and you will discover lots of interesting things ;-) If you have questions or other advice, just let me know. Have a great time!
    Sincerely,
    Gülay
